The Director of Press and Public Affairs at the Honorable House of Representatives, Amb. Robert Haynes, has urged the Legislative Press Pool members to continue to uphold professionalism and avoid actions that undermine journalistic standards.
LEGISPOOL is a conglomeration of assigned reporters annually accredited by the Press Bureau to cover the daily activities of the Honorable House of Representatives.
Addressing the body, upon the return of the House of Representatives for the 3rd quarter of the 1st session, Director Haynes, wants the reporters, uphold the values of good journalisms.
The Press Director emphasized the vital role of ethical journalism in maintaining the integrity of the profession. According to him, the Press Bureau, is dedicated to facilitating their access to lawmakers and providing the necessary support in their reporting efforts.
โWe are here to assist you in your quest for accurate and informative reporting,โ he said.
He committed the leadership of Speaker J. Fonati Koffa, to an open media environment.
โWe will not censor the media; rather, we encourage you to engage openly with our lawmakers and report fairly and accurately,โ Director Haynes affirmed.
