A 20-year-old woman, Jeneba Sonie has launched an SOS appeal to Liberians including the Government of Liberia for assistance to take care of her three children.
Jeneba on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, gave birth to tripletstwo males and one female at Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town, Bushrod Island.
Jeneba told this paper in a mobile phone interview on Thursday, July 18, 2029, that she doesn’t have money to care for the triplets.
She narrated that the children’s father is nowhere to be found because he abandoned her when she was one month pregnant.
Jeneba lamented that her aunty has been the one taking care of her all through the pregnancy.
According to her, she is still at the hospital and is expected to be discharged anytime soon she doesn’t have money to care for the children and her aunty who has been taking care of her doesn’t have money as well.
She mentioned that she doesn’t know the whereabouts of the child’s father because it has been a long since she laid an eye on him.
“The babies’ father abandoned the pregnancy until the time I gave birth. I am living with my aunty and she has been the one taking care of me so, I am appealing to good-will people out there to come and help me because right now as I speak I don’t have money to care for them,” Jeneba lamented.
The mother of three is calling on non-governmental organizations, government officials, and other well-meaning humanitarians to assist her both in cash and kind to help her care for the children.
