Six men raped female private security officer on duty

SANNIQUELLIE, NIMBA CO. — A 29-year-old woman has allegedly been gang raped by six men while serving on private security duty at Mount Tokadeh in Nimba County.
The incident reportedly occurred during the night of May 15 at the precise of 3:00am in the ArcelorMitta-Liberia mines community of Gbapa Town, Nimba County.
Preliminary investigation findings released by the Women and Children Protection Section of the Liberia National Police in Sanniquellie City charged and sent to court three persons for gang rape, theft of property and arm robbery.
Those suspects include Emmanuel F. Saye, Ojuku Zuu, and Abenego Albert. While three other persons First Sunday Prince, Jr. CMB, and God There (Emmanuel Nyanplue) are at large.
Both defendants are charged in violations of Chapter 14; Sub-chapter (d); Section 14.70, Chater 15; Sub-chapter (d); Section 15.51 and Chapter 15; Sub-chapter (c); Section 15.32 of the Revised Penal Code of Liberia.
According to the police charge-sheet, on May 15, 2024 the 29-year-old lady received severe worms, while she attacked with cutlasses and sexually raped by all six men one at the time.
The charge states that after the incident the gang rapists also took away her cellphone value $250USD and 50 gallons of fuel put at over 40, 000LD.
The police report notes that while on private security duty along with her co-worker the alleged suspects grabbed and forcefully had sex with the woman, 29 in the presence of her workmate identified as Patrick L. Nyenaye.
It further disclosed that following the complaint, the 29-year-old victim was forwarded to the G.W. Harley Hospital for medical examination and treatment.
Meanwhile, suspects Emmanuel F. Saye, Ojuku Zuu, and Abenego Albert have been remanded to the Sanniquellie Central Prison, pending court trial.
