-Focuses on developing Multi-Sectoral Risk Communication, Community Engagement (RCCE) Strategy
The Liberia Crusaders for Peace (LCP) recently participated in a two-day workshop focused on developing Liberia’s five-year Multi-Sectoral Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Strategy. This strategy is being developed collaboratively across West African countries to enhance pandemic prevention efforts throughout the ECOWAS region.
The RCCE Strategy adopts a One Health Approach, encompassing all three critical health pillars: human, environmental, and animal health. This comprehensive approach aims to strengthen coordination, communication, capacity building, community engagement, and evidence-based planning & implementation across these sectors. Ultimately, the strategy seeks to create a more resilient and informed community ready to respond effectively to pandemics.
“We are pleased to be part of this process alongside the Ministry of Health, NPHIL, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Gender, One Health Liberia, the Environmental Protection Agency, Orange Liberia, and various civil society organizations, with support from GIZ Liberia.”
