August 9, 2024, the Books Before Boys INC, a noon profitable organization that focuses on enhancing women to be leaders, business owners, and public speakers, has launched her sixth cohort of the Go Girls Lead Mentorship Program.
Following the launch of the program, Books Before Boys INC calls on all interested females to take advantage of the “CALL FOR APPLICATION” form and submit it in time.
The Secretary General of the Books Before Boys INC through the sponsorship of the British Embassy in Liberia Madam Esther Jebbeh Wheah states that the Go Girl, Lead Mentorship Program is an annual flagship program of Books Before Boys INC that runs for at most three months each year.
According to her, the mentorship program aims to train and grow young and aspiring female leaders in the areas of both Public and private sector leadership. She added that from ffrom2020 to 2024, the program has trained more than 778 young females, many of whom are today making quality impacts in different leadership positions in their respective spaces.
Madam Weah said, Over the years, the program has been held in Monrovia. With the sponsorship of the British Embassy in Liberia, the program was extended to Margibi and for the first time in 2023, the Margibi chapter graduated 60 students with adequate knowledge in both Public and Private sector leadership. With joy and excitement, Books Before Boys INC is pleased to announce that the British Embassy and the U.S Embassy in Liberia are the proud sponsors of the second cohort of the Go Girls, Lead Mentorship Program in Margibi.
Meanwhile, the SG of Books Before Boys narrates that the sixth cohort in Montserrado County is requesting more partnerships and sponsorships to enhance the 2024- 2025 program.
In addition, she stresses that the Go Girls, Lead Mentorship Program will run from October to December 2024 with different programs such as public speaking, STEM Education, Climate change, entrepreneurship, IP, and other hands-on skills training.
However, she stated the Books Before Boys INC through the sponsorship of the British Embassy in Liberia encourages all interested females who are desirous of effecting quality change through leadership in the private or public sector to answer to the online “CALL FOR APPLICATION” form and submit it preferably before the deadline. The program this year will simultaneously run in three counties which include Margibi, Grand Gedeh and Montserrado counties.
The SG Books Before Boys also said that the online application and the in-person application form for Margibiares are expected to run from today, the 9th of August to the 15th of September, 2024 while the online application for both Grand Gedeh and Montserrado Counties is expected to run from the 23 of August to the 20th of September 2024, followed by an intensive interview to be conducted online and on-site a week after the application deadline, which will run from the 28 to the 30% of September, 2024.
The organization is encouraging young female Liberians from various institutions to take advantage of the opportunity. “We kindly encourage young females from high schools, universities and colleges, T-Vet institutions to take advantage of this golden opportunity and apply.”
