A political pressure group, Green Revolution of Liberia, has termed the short stay of Guinea mercenary Ibrahim Kalil Sheriff as a threat to regional and national peace while urging the government of Liberia to investigate former Associate Justice Kabineh Ja’neh for treasonable acts.
Addressing a major press conference in Monrovia on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the group office, Marja Varney G. Kromah, National Chairperson, Green Revolution of Liberia, said that the short residential of the mercenary posed a great threat to Liberia’s peace.
According to him, former Associate Justice Kabinch Ja’neh, being the defense counsel of the Guinean national, has taken to the airways to accuse the Government of killing the detained criminal defendant and has placed the life of the solicitor General and the Inspector General of Police in danger by making false claims that they have ordered the criminal defendant killed.
‘’Unfortunately, former Associate Justice Ja’neh and his group are bent on escalating this situation through dubious tactics instead of the law, which has the propensity to strain or sever the diplomatic relationships between the two countries. If this is found to be true, this act should be considered treasonable, and former Justice Ja’neh must be brought in for questioning. We call on the Government of Liberia with immediate effect to arrest and prosecute former Associate Justice Kabineh Ja’neh for such treasonable acts’’ Mr. Kromah urged.
Furthermore, he added that it has come to their attention that Former Associate Justice Ja’nch is enraged by the arrest of his brother, a Guinean national who has also been arrested by that government for alleged acts of treason because he was in cahoots cherif.
‘’More besides, the Guinean Government has accused the Liberian Government of harboring a traitor who has been categorized as a threat to that country’s peace and stability, and that Liberia’s protection of such traitor is deemed dangerous. Moreover, the Guinean Government has accused the Liberian Government of invasion, which is even more dangerous. This is the reason why the Government of Liberia has been treading legally, but expediently to resolve this case,’’ he stated.
