The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) has distributed essential supplies to support local charity efforts. On December 22, 2024, the LCAA delivered assorted items, including bags of rice, cooking oil, bed sheets, and detergents, among several others, to three orphanages and an elderly care home.
Representing the Management and staff of the LCAA on behalf of its Director General, Mr. Julius Dennis, the Public Relations Officer of the LCAA, Mr. Patrick Okai, expressed gratitude to the charity operators for their dedication to aiding vulnerable communities.
The heads of the recipient homes expressed their appreciation and showered blessings on the LCAA for its generous contributions, highlighting the importance of such support in uplifting downtrodden and abandoned members of society.
The orphanages and an elderly care home plan to utilize the donated items to enhance the well-being of their residents. The rice, food seasoning, and cooking oil will be used to prepare nutritious meals, addressing food security and ensuring that the children and elderly receive balanced diets. The bed sheets and detergents will improve hygiene and comfort, contributing to a healthier living environment. Additionally, the Christmas Card, inscribed with soothing words, will help bring peace to the hearts and minds of the beneficiaries.
The donations are vital for maintaining daily operations, allowing these facilities to focus on providing care and support to their vulnerable populations. Overall, the contributions will significantly impact the quality of life for those in these charity homes.
Beneficiaries of the LCAA’s altruism include the Faith Old Folks Home in Monclay Town, Lower Margibi; Mother Bendu Orphanage Home in Barclay Farm; Danny Feeney Memorial Orphanage Home in Cotton Tree; and the Faith Orphanage Home in Owensgroves, also in Margibi County.
One of the core values of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority is to live up to its Corporate Social Responsibility.
