Monrovia – In a special Easter message, President  Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., extended a message of hope, reflection, and national unity to Christians and all Liberians during this sacred season.

Drawing from the biblical passage Romans 6:4, President Boakai emphasized the themes of resurrection and renewal, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of Easter as a catalyst for personal and national transformation.

“Easter reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ—His suffering, death, and glorious resurrection—for the sake of humanity,” President Boakai stated. “It is a story of love, grace, and hope reborn even after the darkest night.”

The President acknowledged Liberia’s own struggles, recognizing the trials the nation has endured while also highlighting moments of resilience and progress. He called on Liberians to draw strength from the Easter message, renewing their faith not only in God but also in each other and the country’s future.

In a poignant appeal, President Boakai urged citizens to rise above division and work collectively toward a more just, peaceful, and prosperous Liberia.

“Let us stand together as one people, with one purpose,” he declared. “No obstacle is insurmountable when we walk together, guided by love for our nation and for one another.”

The President’s message resonated with a tone of reconciliation, emphasizing that Liberia’s strength lies in its unity. His words come at a time when the nation continues to navigate social, economic, and political challenges.

Concluding his address, President Boakai extended warm Easter wishes to all Liberians, praying that the blessings of the season fill homes with joy and hearts with renewed optimism.  “Happy Easter, and may God bless the Republic of Liberia,” he said.
