The Liberia Restoration Party (LRP), has vowed to use the vehicle of politics to return Liberia back to God, considering the fact that the country was established on the fundamental pillar of faith.

The Standard Bearer of the Liberia Restoration Party Allen Roosevelt Brown Jr, made the statement during a media engagement over the weekend, at the operational headquarters of the party on 14th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia.

“We are a movement and our movement is to restore the nation back to God. I am so happy that the vehicle that we are using is politics”, he vowed.

The LRP Political leader pinpointed that the party is a Faith base movement and with that, it opens the door for people of other faiths as the choice before the party is inclusion and coexistence.

He went further to say that they are encouraged by people from other faiths reaching to them when he disclosed that constructive talks are ongoing and the party remains very define and open.

At the same time the newly elected standard bearer of the Liberia Restoration Party among plans aimed improving the lives of the Liberian people revealed, develop the country and ensure the constant supply of basic social services.

Businessman Allan Brown noted the first plan if he succeeds in the 2023 presidential elections is to ensure that Liberia becomes the breadbasket not only to feed its people but export to other countries in the world.

Commenting on issues including the judiciary and health, he stressed, “We believe in justice, fairness and compassion. We believe that the just part is to make sure that we have competent judges in place. The next component of that is to make sure that judges have integrity.

“Our goal is to ensure that our health system is on par with developed nations”, he added.

Touching on the  Farmington River Declaration, he termed it as a step forward in Liberia, underscoring that the people of Liberia want violence-free, fair, and transparent elections just as it is the way to maintain the peace of the country.

“We are going to educate our people to make sure that they understand what the Farmington Agreement is about. We believe that we are very prepared to get our message out. We have a strategy in term of how we expect to do it. We do believe that our message will reach voters throughout the length and birth of this nation”, Mr. Brown further emphasized.

Also Speaking during the media engagement, Gabriel Salee, National Chairman of the Liberia Restoration Party enjoined his Political leader to restore the nation to a country of Faith.

He said, “We are a movement and we have the mandate to return the country back to God. We will not rest, nor get tired until we achieve that mandate. We are happy that we have a selfless visionary who believes that the people of Liberia deserve better therefore, we are prepared to align with people who buy into our vision and have like minds of the kind of Liberia we envision.”

There is a fundamental truth about our country being established under Christian principles but we have divorced ourselves from the practical provision provided for in our 1847 Constitution now we have 1986 Construction which provided that Liberia is a secular state. Articles 13 and 14 separate the church from the state which was not in the previous Constitution, according to Chairman Asleep.

He added that the previous Constitution was based on Faith – the founding fathers came in and established a country that had no military and economic strength but trusted that Almighty God built their value system on that foundation, and he said It is that foundation they want to continue to sustain.
