The Liberian National Police says they have arrested and are currently investigating suspect Jefferson Mulbah for allegedly stabbing his sister’s ex-boyfriend to death in Sam Town, ELWA Community.
Addressing a major press conference on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the LNP headquarters in Monrovia, Police Spokesperson Moses Carter said that they had arrested suspect Mulbah, who is currently in police custody undergoing an investigation.
“We are also pleased to inform you that the LNP has arrested and is investigating suspect Jefferson Mulbah, a resident of Sam Town in the ELWA Community, for allegedly killing a 22-year-old man, Prince C. Fahnbulleh, with an object believed to be a kitchen knife,” Carter said.
According to him, Suspect Mulbah was arrested by LNP operatives on April 7, 2023, during the morning hour after he allegedly stabbed victim Prince C. Fahnbulleh with an object believed to be a kitchen knife.
The police investigation has revealed that an argument transpired between the deceased victim and defendant Mulbah when his sister, Naiomi Mulbah, an ex-girlfriend of her son, victim Prince Fahnbulleh, complained to her brother that someone was always creeping on her while in bed,” Mr. Carter disclosed.
He further indicated that while it was established that suspect Mulbah kept watching over his sister resident, he met victim Prince C. Fahnbulleh creeping and wanting to enter his sister’s room.
Mr. Carter explained that during an argument between them, victim Prince hit a short single-barreled pistol at suspect Mulbah, who stabbed him with an object he believed to be a kitchen knife, which led to his death.
“Meanwhile, the victim’s remains, Prince C. Fahnbulleh, have been deposited at the JFK Museum for preservation, while suspect Mulbah is undergoing investigation at the LNP headquarters,” police spokeswoman Carter noted.
Meanwhile, Mr. Carter said that they are investigating or conducting a probe into the incident involving a 13-year-old teenager in Barnesville, Yanfu Town.
He noted that on April 7, 2023, victim Philomena Kollie was discovered hanged in an empty room of a four-bedroom house with a lapper rope around her neck.
“Investigation is continuing to establish what actually occurred. We are investigating this matter and will ensure that the conspirator is brought to book,” he concluded.
