Following months of skepticism and confrontations about their support toward her alliance with the CPP, the Montserrado County coordinators of Liberty Party have  unanimously and finally officially endorsed Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine political decision to serve as Vice Standard

Bearer for the Collaborating Political Parties.

According to a recent LP release, the various Coordinators attributed their decision to what they termed as their former Political Leader, Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence’s failure to resolve their internal dispute.

With this, they have committed themselves to work collectively with other generational changers to elect Mr. Alexander

Benedict Cummings and Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine as the next president and

vice president of Liberia.

“We believe Cllr. Brumskine contesting on the CPP ticket as member and leader

from the Liberty Party gives prestige and credibility to our party,” they noted .

Furthermore, the coordinators said they endorsed CIir. CharlyneBrumskine to keep driving the Brumskine’ s political

doctrine and to have the name “Brumskine” re-surfacing on the ballot paper in this

vear elections as a means of remembering their founding father the late Cllr. Charles

Walker Brumskine.

“Our decision to endorsed Clr. Brumskine is based on promoting pillow 5 of the

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) crafted by United Nations in 2015. Which

support gender parity or supporting women political participation”.

They continued, “That Cillr. Charlyne Brumskine comes to the table with administrative experience, integrity and accessibility”.

In their view, she has the international connection that can shift the national economy sector and others sectors of our country, Besides, Hon, Brumskine qualification, competency and contributions in the lives of thousands Liberians can give the presidency the best face in and out of Liberia.

“Ladies and gentlemen of the press, across the 15th counties of Liberia, we are using this time to call on our thousands of our partisans of Liberty Party to come together as we support the Cummings- Brumskune presidential bid including other leaders who are out of the political perimeter”.

Considering all of their above, they; the legitimate and well recognized coordinators of Liberty Party, Montserrado County, jointly affixed their signatures on a written documentation committing their final endorsement.

Earlier, the Coordinator made it crustal clear that that, since the inception of the current political hullabaloo within the Liberty Party, they have tried and anticipated that the former political leader Senator Lawrence would have used her administrative ingenuity and influence to settle the differences in the party. We hope that she re-unite and restore the lost values, image and sanity of our party which was fought and maintain by the founding father of Liberty Party the late Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine”.

Unfortunately, they said under the Nyanblee administration, she failed on settling the differences for reasons they are yet to determine.

“Regardless of this, we were still with her in all her political endeavors hoping to see our expectations coming to reality by re-uniting Liberty Party.

According to them, the l worse and disenchanted aspects of their  former political leader was her decision to endorsed the Presidential bid of Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai on May 14, 2023 in Grand Bassa County.

“Before the endorsement of Joseph Nyumah

Boakai, our former political leader met with us and promised to dialogue with he

coordinators who have been with her throughout. Again, unfortunately we did not see her retum to inform the Districts Coordinators Council of Montserrado County

(DCCM) on this peculiar decision,” they stated.

According to them, the decision taken by Senator Lawrence and others to endorsed

Amb. Boakai for the presidency without considering their views and opinion is dis-

respectful, and dis-ingenious to their efforts and times.

“Based on Senator Lawrence decision, on the 16th day of June 2023, we had a press statement at OK FM giving

our position statement by distancing ourselves from the decision made by Senator Lawrence and the others to endorsed Amb. Boakai.

With this, they sensitively thought it wise not to support any presidential candidates in this election without the Liberty Party which could be a violation of

our constitution that states,

“It is prohibited to associate and affiliate with another political party by supporting different agenda not even within collaboration and coalition agreement while serving as member and leader.”

In order to avoid the situation of excommunication and revocation of their

membership status from the party, they said they are under the mandate of their constitution to keep promoting every activity and any individual representing the party in public political democratic processes.

“Base on those reasons stated below, we are consciously moved and have decided to finally endorsed Cllr. Charlyne Brumskineto contest for the vice presidential position on the Collaborating Political Parties ticket,” they said.
