President George Weah jumpstarted his district campaign tour Tuesday, August 8, 2023, in Montserrado County district #7 and #8. Interestingly for him, the process was embraced by hundreds of residents of the district, amid the heavy downpour of rain.
Captured under the wet hands of the rain, water drained from the top of his shirt to the base of his footwear. Like him, the hundreds of residents, especially women that went to welcome him also felt the downpour of rain, but it still didn’t stop them.
Engulfed with excitement, the residents paraded with the President in parts of the District, and later assembled for the formal event in Slipway Community, Monrovia, Liberia.
At said gathering, the President lauded the residents for the love, but emphasized his interest in being re-elected. “When you go to the pulling center please, I know you are clever but I want you to check for number 18, then you vote,” he pleaded.

At the presidential level, he wants them vote him based on what he has done over the last five years. Like him, he wants them critically critique other candidates that are seeking their support.
Consistent with his campaign tour, the CDC on August 11, 2023, visited Montserrado County district #5 and #6. A lot of the new voters of the districts referenced the government’s WASSCE fee payment intervention, and developments in different parts of Liberia, as few reasons why they are resolved to support the President’s reelection.
Additionally, the young people stated, “President George always make himself common in faces of the young people.” Wiry said admiration for his simplicity, they assure, “First time voters in Liberia are with you and we will make sure that you will win October 10.”
