The October 10, 2023, legislative and presidential elections at the C. Williams Brumskine School voting center in District #7, Montserrado County experienced an unjustifiable suspension for several hours, amid voters strong desire to participate in the process.
Electorate at the C. Williams Brumskine School voting center expressed dismay about the situation, considering their commitment to the process and the unfortunate fact that they were unable to exercise their constitutional rights (vote) as the entire electoral process was muted for over three hours.
Our reporter who visited the center confirms that electorate were stocked up in the queue for hours, without any attempt by NEC workers to proceed with the process.
The center’s entry and exit were locked- while NEC staff remained mute on the situation.
Following hours of concerns and complaints, the needed authorities intervened and the process has resumed.
