-Cornelia Kruah-Togba concedes defeat

Cornelia Kruah-Togba, a Representative Candidate of District 13, Montserrado County has conceded defeat, even though the National Elections Commission (NEC) is yet to announce elections results.
The National Elections Commission (NEC) will provide official preliminary results of the October 10, 2023, general elections- 4:30PM today, October 11, 2023, at its headquarters in Sinkor.
But in a recent writeup via her official Facebook page, Cornelia Kruah-Togba writes- “We have few polling places left but from all indications we’ve lost. Like we’ve done since 2018, there will be no stopping until we get a chance to serve our beloved district through the Legislature.”
“Our passion to lead this District is genuine. Whether I am a lawmaker or not, I’ll continue to impart the lives of residents of District 13. We wanted a chance to rescue our children’s future that is gradually being snatched, a chance to improve the lives of our women, a chance to develop small medium enterprises, a chance to exemplify a leadership that works for you.”
“In the coming days, she assures to begin her tour to thank the people of District 13 across the various communities for their support. Says she look forward to engaging with many of them.
“To my “perfect team”, I could never ask for a better team. You are not just my teammates but my family. Although y’all stressed me this morning by making me run from person to person petting y’all to stop crying ????????????. I love you all and owe you!”
She notes- “To all of my supporters and sponsors, thank you plenty! You made this process easy for me. THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE CORNELIA KRUAH-TOGBA! Onwards to greater things.”
Cornelia Kruah-Togba (Attorney-At-Law) contested on the Unity Party Ticket and she was placed at #7 on the ballot.
She is a lawyer, young Liberian public servant and advocate for youth and women’s empowerment. She has about six years’ experience working in the public sector serving as Program Assistant at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, Executive Assistant at the Ministry of Public Works and Chief of Staff to the Minister of Education at varying times during this period.
Cornelia holds an LLB in Law from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia; MA in International Politics and Economics from the Kingston University in London, UK; and a BSc in Economics from the Stella Maris Polytechnic.
