Amid concerns about the next lawmaker of Montserrado County District #8 following Tuesday’s polls- figures from the National Elections Commission (NEC) put the incumbent Representative Acarous Moses Gray in the lead, with 8, 698 (32.71%) valid votes.
Over the last four days, figures coming from the district have fluctuated but it has since been stable in the incumbent’s favor since Saturday, October 13, 2023.
Late Sunday, October 15, 2023- the National Elections Commission (NEC) results put Gray in the lead with 8, 698 (32.71%) votes and 34 votes margin ahead of his major contender Prince Toles who has so far secured 8, 664 (32.58%) votes. Toles is ahead of George Miller who’s third amongst them with 1, 788 (6.64%) votes.
In District #8, Montserrado County, the National Elections Commission (NEC) has so far announced 78 out of a total of 83 polling places. This constitutes 93.98 percent.
Also at Sunday’s regular election update press conference, NEC also declared Momo Cyrus as the Senator-elect, (IND) of
Lofa County.
Thomas P. Fallah was announced Representative elect of
Electoral District #1 (CDC) Lofa County.
Madam Julie F. Wiah was declared Representative-elect (re-elected) of Electoral District #2 (CDC) Lofa County.
Like them, .Momoh S. Kpoto was declared Representatives elect of
Electoral District #3, Lofa County.
Gizzie Kollins was also announced Representatives elect of
Electoral District #4 (UP), Lofa County.
Also, Augustine Cheawulo was announced Representative-elect of Electoral District #5 (UP), Lofa County.
