An unknown individual recently set the home of Suakoko Commissioner at blaze,
a situation that led to the ravage of the roof and doors of the structure.
The facility was constructed through the county development fund to accommodate the district’s commissioner, host guests and important district’s gathering.
Our reporter who visited the facility was unable to establish the cause of the fire.
Community members couldn’t identify the perpetrator. They were tight-lipped with information on the cause of the fire disaster, when asked by our reporter.
In conversation with journalist, some residents of the area blamed the situation to the alleged abandonment of the facility by the current district commissioner, Daniel Dodo.
According to reports, past commissioners did not live in the compound; neither did they have district activity there, because of the isolation of the facility.
The compound is little far from the road and does not have security. The building has three bedrooms and an office.
Meanwhile, the Suakoko City Council and residents of Suakoko District are appealing to the Boakai-Koung Administration to renovate the facility.
When reconditioned, they recommend that the county authority mandates commissioner Dodo to live in the compound to prevent the recurrence of the act.
