Buchanan Port Manager, Charles D. Gull, along with his Chief Statistician, for Out- station ports, Amara Kamara, have been suspended with immediate effect without pay, for “alleged financial impropriety.”
The Management of the National Port Authority (NPA) announced over the weekend that it had suspended both men and launched a probe into the pair alleged complicity into financial impropriety at the Buchanan Port, Grand Bassa County.
A statement signed by NPA’s Director of Public Relations, Malcolm W. Scott, indicates both men will remain suspended until the outcome of an ongoing investigation which they have been subjected to.
According to Scott, these actions are in straight adherence to what he referred to as the NPA’s administrative axe against any of its staff who may be found punishable for unscrupulous acts.
The NPA Director of Public Relations disclosed that details and findings concerning the ongoing probe and subsequent actions by the management of NPA will be released to the public.
