-J.E. Marshall United Methodist Church to honor Moth. Regina P. Nah

Mrs. Regina P. Nah (Honoree)
For years, Mother Regina P. Nah has dedicated herself to serving the J.E. Marshall United Methodist Church with unwavering commitment. From hours spent cleaning the church to ensuring everything is in place for service, to being helpful in other ways, the Church’s clergymen acknowledged that Mother Nah embodies the teachings of the Bible through her actions.
Waking as early as possible to give God’s edifice a sparkling look has been a way of life for her. She would neatly arrange everywhere necessary to give convenience not just to herself but to the hundreds of believers attending service.
As the Bible teaches cleanliness and service to the church, Mother Nah has long taken these teachings personally. 1 Timothy 5:17-18, says, “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.” Consistent with this, J.E. Marshall United Methodist Church, where Mother Regina P. Nah has long served, will on Sunday, May 12, 2024, formally honor her as ‘Mother Of The Year-2024’, for her relentless service to the church.
The J.E. Marshall United Methodist Church emphasizes that as the Bible encourages recognizing and honoring those who serve in the church, they have been constrained by prudent biblical reasons exemplified by Moth. Regina P. Nah to give her flowers of honor while she’s still alive.
In the words of the church, “She does things not for the sake of the news or to make a big show of them, but rather to take pride in her service to humanity. She is never concerned about whether or not someone is looking to recognize her efforts. She goes about doing things even in the church without asking anyone, as long as the need exists and she has the means.”
They further acknowledged her dedication, “She consistently performed an outstanding service that everyone in this church remembers, until she suffered from poor health. This distinguished mother cleaned around the church regularly and kept the yard very neat.” At this point, the Church is convinced that Mother Nah’s dedication to God’s kingdom goes beyond mere duty; as they say, it is a reflection of her deep faith and love for God.
Despite her recent poor health condition, officials of the church admit that she does not compromise the issues of the church. “She is a strong believer with great faith. Her decision to clean around the church building was not based on her low status in society—absolutely not. She is the mother of nine living children—seven women and two men—many of whom are well accomplished and have great social standing.”
Like the J.E. Marshall United Methodist Church noted, in addition to her church life, Moth. Nah is a great servant to the community in which she lives and a mother to all children. Her Christian principles and straightforwardness have kept her children united and very friendly
Her children, who have witnessed her selflessness and dedication firsthand, are grateful to the church for honoring their mother. Despite receiving treatment from both local and Ghanaian hospitals, she has been complaining of pain in various parts of her body.
But since the church came up with the decision to honor her as a Mother of the Year 2024, the family has confirmed that all the pain that had been tormenting her life seems to have disappeared and she has stopped complaining like before.
As the church prepares to honor Mother Regina P. Nah as ‘Mother Of The Year’ on May 12, 2024, they (Moth. Nah’s children) have also voiced out their excitement, as they believe it is a fitting tribute to her years of selfless service. They considered her honor as not just a gesture of appreciation but a testament to her exemplary life and the impact she has had on the church community.
Mother Nah’s story is not just one of service to the church but also to the community in which she lives. Her Christian principles and kindness have touched the lives of many, and her children are proud to see her recognized for her contributions.
