Monrovia, Liberia – The Civil Service Agency (CSA) has announced a comprehensive credentials audit and verification process for all employees within the Government of Liberia’s spending entities.

The initiative, outlined in an internal memorandum from Darlington A.P. Smith, Deputy Director-General of Human Resource Management/Policy, is set to begin shortly.

The memorandum, dated September 27, 2024, emphasizes the necessity of this audit as part of the preparation for a National Credential Review. The primary goal is to assess the manpower strength of the CSA and ensure that all documents submitted by employees are legitimate and up to date.

“To maintain the highest standards of professionalism within our ranks, we must verify the credentials of our employees,” Smith stated. “This exercise will not only enhance our operational integrity but also ensure that we are fully compliant with national regulations.”

Employees wishing to update their files with newly acquired credentials are encouraged to do so at the Human Resource Division by Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This deadline allows for the timely processing of any updates before the verification process begins.

Additionally, the memorandum indicates that employees may be called upon during the review process to provide further clarification if there are any doubts or concerns regarding their credentials. This step underscores the CSA’s commitment to transparency and accountability within the civil service.

The CSA is urging all employees to actively participate in this important initiative, which is expected to strengthen the foundation of the civil service and enhance public trust in government operations. “We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your full participation in this critical exercise,” Smith concluded in the memorandum.

As the CSA prepares for this significant undertaking, the agency aims to reinforce its commitment to maintaining a qualified and credible workforce dedicated to serving the citizens of Liberia.
