– Several other modern facilities to follow….

It was a scene of excitement, joy and applause when Bishop Jacob H. Harris led a team of church leaders and the Board to officially dedicate and cut the ribbon to a newly constructed building for the Norman E. Williams Institute located within Church of God Liberia World Missions Headquarters at ELWA Junction, Paynesville.

The new school building contains 12 classrooms including offices, and was constructed by the Indian Merchant G2 as part of a 35 – year least agreement with Bishop Harris’ leadership.

Several other modern facilities including a three – storey guest house, a modern water factory, among others, will also be constructed by the Indian national on the Church – Congo Town Back Road land and at the Headquarters respectively.

Speaking during the dedicatory ceremony on Monday, 6 January 2025, Bishop Harris, National Overseer of Church of God World Missions Liberia praised the Almighty God for the grace and the connection with the Indian businessman, who’s carrying on a huge development under the least agreement.
As the keys to the new school building were turned over to the Bishop, the church council and the Board, students of the Norman E. Williams were seen happily moving into their new classrooms.

This implementation of the least agreement comes as a result of a demand from the Liberian Government through the Ministry of Public Works for the church and all properties’ owners including business enterprises, to erect modern infrastructure located around the newly built Roundabout at ELWA Junction in Paynesville, the outskirt of the capital, Monrovia.
 
 
 

Several businesses like City Builders, Eagle, Harbel and Exclusive Supermarkets, among others, have since elevated their structures, thus putting Church of God World Missions Liberia Headquarters in a tight position.

Therefore, the National Council of Church of God World Missions Liberia led by Bishop Jacob H. Harris had to sign this lease agreement with G2 to raise the church facilities as requested by the government.
 
According to the Bishop, the lease is in twofold: the first phase which is now being implemented covers at least 20 years, while the second will last for some 15 years.
 
The first 20 – years lease is divided into half for which an amount of 105,000.00USD was disbursed to the church last year, while the remaining 10 – years shall be paid to the church subsequently.
 
Bishop Harris further disclosed that a year lease is 10,500.00USD. “We agreed that upon the signing of the agreement, 50,000.00USD be paid to the church, and upon turning over the facilities under consideration, the remaining 55,000.00USD shall be paid” – says Bishop Harris.
 
 
 
Under the lease agreement, the Indian businessman is demolishing, transferring and re – constructing several facilities at the CoG World Missions Liberia Headquarters including the Bishop’s residence, the school, the fence, among others.
 
The signing of this latest lease agreement, according to the CoG World Missions Liberia Bishop, is a great breakthrough and will go a long way in upgrading the church headquarters and providing other modern facilities for the church.
 
During the ELWA road construction, portion of the church headquarters’ fence was broken down as a result of the construction of a huge electrical pole within the church compound by the Liberian government, thus threatening the existence of the church Headquarters.

On the other hand, Church of God World Missions Liberia owns a 100 acre of land in the White Plains community, Montserrado County, where the leadership intends to build a new Headquarter with several multi – purpose facilities including hall, radio station, etc….
 
Las year, the church begun planting palm seedlings on 20 out of the 100 acres of land as part of its strategic plans to developing and securing the property.
