Voinjama City, Lofa County – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has announced developments from the 10th Judicial Circuit Court during its November 2024 Term. On Tuesday, December 17, two individuals were sentenced for drug-related offenses, underscoring the nation’s ongoing commitment to combating illegal drug activities.

Joshua Ndborbor, 19, received a 10-year prison sentence for his involvement in drug offenses, while Tarnue M. Kollie, 42, was sentenced to one year at Voinjama Central Prison. These sentences reflect the judicial system’s determination to address drug-related crimes and uphold the rule of law in Liberia.

The LDEA commended the judiciary for its decisive actions in these cases, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in the fight against illegal substances. “These sentences serve as a strong reminder that our judicial system remains committed to combating drug-related crimes,” said an LDEA spokesperson.

The agency encourages all Liberians to participate in efforts to create a drug-free society by reporting any suspicious activities related to illegal substances. “Together, we can foster a safer and healthier environment for future generations,” the spokesperson added.

As Liberia continues its battle against drug-related issues, the LDEA says it remains dedicated to working alongside the judiciary and the public to ensure a safer community for all.
