It appears the internal fight within a constituent member of the governing Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) is far from over as Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor’s faction of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) officials have written Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean, calling for the investigation of Maryland County Senator James Biney, who is also holding on as National Chairman of the NPP, which formed a coalition with George Weah’s Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) and former House Speaker Alex Tyler’s Liberia People Democratic Party (LPDP).

The party filed a formal complaint against Senator Biney, who is also National Chairman for his faction of the NPP, in a letter dated December 27, 2022, and sent to Cllr. James Biney – He still holds as National Chairman for his faction of the NPP

However, the party notes while acknowledges some disagreements within the party which emanate from the conduct of their 7th Biennial Convention held on October 7, 2022, it gives no justification for former Chairman Biney to issue such a statement which borders on the safety and security of the Vice President as such Senator Biney should be made to answer for his statement which poses threat to the Vice President.

Concluding, the NPP says it is seeking and requesting the Ministry of Justice to take seize of the matter and investigate same as stated in their premise.
