The Debt Court of Montserrado County has issued a writ of execution against the Liberia Airport Authority for failing to pay a debt of $40,200.
The court has ordered the seizure of assets belonging to the Airport Authority, including those held by Acting Managing Director Martin Hayes and other officials. If the available assets are insufficient, the court has directed that real property be seized to cover the debt.
This case arises from a debt action filed by representatives of the late Florence C. Mends Cole’s estate, Sahru Joined Mends Cole and Think Jenkie Mends Cole. The petition, submitted by Attorney Pearl Brown Bull, requests that if the debt cannot be settled, properties be identified for seizure and sale.
Liberia Airport Authority is responsible for flights that enter and leave Liberia on a regular basis. It oversees the activities of Flights In Liberia in total.
