MOVEE Chairman Robert Sammie
The Chairman of Movement for Economic Empowerment Robert Sammie, has called on the people of Liberia mainly eligible voters not to vote for Unity Party Standard bearer Joseph Boakai in the impending November 14, run-off elections.
Liberians are expected to go to the polls on November 14, 2023, to elect new president or retain incumbent George Weah for the next six years after October 10, polls didn’t produce a winner,thus making the election to go to a run-off between incumbent President George Weah of the CDC and main opposition candidate Amb. Joseph Koakai
Speaking to scores of young people at the Center for the Exchange of Intellectual Opinions (CEIO), on Carey Street in Central Monrovia over the weekend, MOVEE National Chairman Robert Sammie noted that President George Weah deserves a second term for the country on grounds that so that people will experience more developments across the country
According to him, making former Vice President Joseph Boakai President of Liberia, will make the opposition to celebrate the many developmental projects started by the CDC Government, headed by President George Weah
He named tens of the government’s projects, including- the road from Bong County to Salala on ward to Zorzor District in Lofa County, Vai Town to St Paul Bridge road corridor in Montserrado County, the ongoing road project between Ganta to Tipita, in Nimba County, the road project been earmarked fro0m Grand Bassa County to River-Cess County, Sinoe to Grand Kru County and other developmental projects across the country.
Some of the successes the Movement for Economic Empowerment National Chairman recounted under the CDC sixyears include: payment of WACE’ Fees, free school fees at all Public Universities across the country, empowerment of youths through jobs creations among others
The Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), is one of the constituent nine political parties that make up the governing Coalition for Democratic Change that is expected to face the main opposition Unity Party in the run-off on November 14, 2023.
“Don’t vote for the opposition candidate Joseph N. Boakaiduring the run-off scheduled on November 14, 2023.” the Movement for Economic Empowerment National Chairman Robert Sammie is quoted as saying.
He revealed that the CDC is vigorously campaigning and educating citizens on how to vote for the CDC Candidate across the country making sure that the CDC defeat the opposition candidate Joseph Boakai and retired him from politics through the ballots box
Robert Sammie urged the citizens of the country mainly the youths, to denounced elections violence, saying elections will come and go and as such, there is a need that the citizens discuss the issues that will help promote their candidate (s) during theseelections period instead of attacking personality.
The National Chairman of Movement for Economic Empowerment noted that the governing Coalition for Democratic Change has embarked on sensitization campaign across the country, aimed at reducing the numbers of invalid votes acquired during the October 10, general and presidential polls
