-In Bloom Bank Africa’s Raffle Draw

Ruth Coker-Collins, the former Minister of Public Works, has emerged as a winner in the 3rd Aye Waste Promo Draw held at Bloom Bank Africa’s Buchanan branch. This event is part of the bank’s ongoing customer raffle promotion, which encourages clients to engage with the bank through deposits.

To participate in the raffle, customers must register with Bloom Bank and deposit a minimum of 20,000 Liberian dollars. Each deposit automatically generates a ticket featuring the depositor’s name and raffle number.

Reports indicate that Madam Collins recently deposited an impressive 1 million Liberian dollars into her account, resulting in the generation of a substantial number of raffle tickets. Her luck paid off as she was selected twice, winning a 3.5 KVA generator and a Star Motorbike, both of which are highly coveted prizes in the promotion.

Moses Wheaton, a previous winner of the Star Prize, shared his positive experience with the raffle, emphasizing the fairness of the process. He noted that he currently uses the motorbike he won to navigate traffic and generate income, which has motivated him to deposit more funds with the bank.

During the raffle event in Grand Bassa County, officials from the Liberian Lottery Authority oversaw the drawing process. They spun a wheel displaying the names of qualifying customers, inviting attendees to select a ticket. The name on the drawn ticket was announced as the winner, and if the winner did not respond after three calls, the ticket was discarded, and the next spin commenced.

In addition to Madam Collins’ wins, the second prize was awarded to Octis Sunny, who received a cooking stove as part of the promotion.

Meanwhile, Chris Osisiogu, Chief Operating Officer of Bloom Bank Africa, urged bank debtors to honor their loan commitments. Speaking over the weekend, he expressed concern over borrowers failing to repay loans, which he stated is contributing to the financial instability of many banks.

Osisiogu explained that the funds lent to customers are not the bank’s money but rather deposits from other customers, which are loaned out for profit over time. He emphasized that Bloom Bank Africa is well-positioned to extend loans, but customers must be truthful and responsible in fulfilling their obligations.

The recent raffle draw at the Buchanan branch of Bloom Bank Africa concluded successfully, with participants winning various prizes, including motorbikes, generators, gas stoves, and umbrellas. According to Osisiogu, this raffle is part of the ongoing It Waste Promo initiative, aimed at empowering customers and contributing to the local economy.
