Frankie’s Travel Agency is expected to appear at the Monrovia City Court today, June 5, 2023, to provide reasons why the Agency should not be held in contempt of property.
The Monrovia City Court, through its Magistrate Ben Barco, issued a writ of summons on the Chief Executive Officer of Frankie’s Travel and Agency Incorporated, Miama Robison, early this week, requesting the agency appear before that court to answer the charges leveled against it.
Madam Robison, who will be appearing before Stipendiary Magistare Barco today to answer to the crime of thrift of property leveled against her, is alleged to have illegally received $3,480.00 from a person desiring to travel under the pretense of rendering travel services.
According to the writ, defendant Maima, with criminal intent, between October and November 2021, took $US 3,480.00 from Kaifa Dunor for a plane ticket and visa support to Barbados, the Caribbean.
The writ further stated that since the receipt of the said amount, defendant Robison has refused to produce the ticket, and she has also refused to refund the money by exercising unauthorized control over the complainant’s money.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Barco has ordered the sheriff of the Monrovia City Court to bring the living body of Madam Robison to court to testify to said claim.
Frankie’s Travel Agency is an agency that is involved with providing travel services to travelers wanting to travel out of the country. The allegations against the travel services made by Kaifa Dunar are expected to dent the Integrity of the agency.
The testimony that will be provided by the agency’s executive director, Miama Robison, will provide the way forward for the court to make a determination if the money was received with criminal intent.
