Monrovia- A U.S.-based organization, GOGo-Fit-Camp, has announced plans to host its second training program in Liberia.
According to the organizers of the program, the planned training is expected to kick off during the early part of December 2024.
Speaking with this paper from the United States of America, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel G. Kollie, said their mission is to foster the holistic development of young athletes through the beautiful game of Football.
He said the institution is striving to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where players of all backgrounds can thrive both on and off the field.
“Through expert coaching, mentorship, and a focus on character-building values such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience, we aim to empower our youth to reach their full potential as athletes, leaders, and responsible members of their communities,” he said.
He continues: “By instilling a love for the game and equipping players with the skills and mindset for success, we aspire to cultivate not only talented football players but also confident, compassionate individuals prepared to make a positive impact in the world.”
Speaking further, Kollie said week one of the training will be about coaching seminar-Introduction and Fundamentals of Youth Development while day it will focus on coaches’ education training, technical warm-up and Stretching, Basic Skills Training, Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, tactical Sessions, Positioning, Formations, and Small-Sided Games.
Week two will be about specialized training and Fitness.
It can be recalled, that in December of 2023, GoGo Fit-Camp held its first training training program in Montserrado County.
The institution had a workshop for more than 50 coaches from the Orange National First Division League, the second division, including grassroots coaches. They also trained over 44 football clubs ranging from the first division to grassroots clubs across the country.
GOGo-Fit-Camp is a non-profit organization that trains coaches, players, trainers, and young people seeking to keep their bodies fit.
It was founded in 2015 by two Liberians based in the United States of America to train more people on how to keep themselves fit and fight sicknesses in their bodies.
