
Grand Kru County Senate Legislative Caucus has endorsed the candidacy of Representative, Clr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa, , Grand Kru County District 2 Representative, for the Speakership of the 55th National Legislature of the Republic of Liberia.
In a recent Statement of Support for the candidacy of Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa for the position of Speaker, of the House of Representatives of the 55th National Legislature, the Caucus says: “Indeed, the Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus is pleased to convey to the members of the incoming Honorable House of Representatives, 5sth National Legislature, this Statement of Support for the candidacy of Representative, Clr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa, District 2 Representative, Grand Kru County, election. Rep. Clr. J. Fonati Koffa is a member of the Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus and has served the Caucus as chairman for three consecutive years beginning from 2020 to 2023. He is the current Deputy Speaker of the 54th Honorable House of Representatives for the position of Speaker in the forthcoming Speaker.”
It provides- “The Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus is incontestably convinced that Clr. Koffa is not only qualified and competent but also possesses vast experience in legislative workings coupled with his in-depth knowledge in lawmaking as a legal luminary. The Grand Kru County legislative Caucus therefore believes that Cllr. Kaffa’s election to the position of Speaker of the Honorable House of Representatives, 55th National Legislature, will hugely bring renewed vigor, integrity, and independence and rebrand the image of the Lower House in particular and the National Legislature in general.”
Furthermore, the Caucus states that its decision to support the candidacy of Clr. J. Fonati Koffa is based on their conviction that he is indeed a visionary leader, a unifier, and people people-centered leader who is stuffed with a sense of purpose and national consciousness.
“As you may recall, esteem members of the incoming Honorable House of Representatives, 55th National Legislature, the October 12 and November 14, 2023, general and presidential elections have demonstrated how the people of this country are deeply divided along political lines. It is therefore a clear fact the Liberian people expect nothing less than an inclusive government which will highly be demystified when Hon. Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa is elected as speaker of the Honorable House of Representatives, 55th National Legislature, considering that he is coming
from the other side of the national political divide.”
The Caucus: “Indeed, this statement of support from the Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus is intended to
vouch for the characters, competence, and suitability of Hon. Clr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa for the position of speaker of the Honorable House of Representatives, 55th National Legislature, in that
we have been working and interacting with him daily and therefore better know him as our colleague member of the county caucus especially having served the organization as its chairman for three consecutive years.”
Accordingly, the Grand Kru County Legislative Caucus says it is pleased to witness that Cllr Jonathan
Fonati Koffa is a man with Integrity, trustworthiness, transparency, and legally professional. Additionally, they say he is a results-driven, aggressive, and human-centered person. “Moreover, JFK as he
is affectionally called is a selfless, accessible, flexible leader and a humanitarian. Incontestably, the overwhelming support that is currently being demonstrated for him by his colleagues and members of the Honorable House of Representatives, 54th Legislature, where he presently serves as Deputy Speaker is a clear validation of the qualities above indicated for Clr Koffa.”
