On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Medicine for All People (MAP International) donated worth $1.8 million of medication to the Liberian government at the Executive Mansion, supporting His Excellency Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr.’s ARREST Agenda and the 100-Day Deliverables through the Ministry of Health. This signifies a significant step forward in ensuring access to healthcare for all Liberians.

MAP International is dedicated to providing medicine and health supplies globally, as part of their mission to break down barriers to healthcare access worldwide.

Madam Cynthia Blandford, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, and CFO of International Focus Magazine, representing MAP International, introduced the team and expressed gratitude to President Boakai Sr. for accepting the donation. She showcased the International Focus Magazine, which featured Liberia’s progress towards a brighter future and presented two copies.

In his remarks, Mr. Steve Stirling, President of MAP International, highlighted the organization’s commitment to partnering with the Ministry of Health. He thanked President Boakai Sr., Minister of Health Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, and Senator Dabah Varlipeh for their support in advancing healthcare in Liberia. He also shared his journey of living with polio since childhood, emphasizing the importance of healthcare accessibility.

“On behalf of MAP International, we are proud to have partnered with the Ministry of Health,” Mr. Steve Stirling expressed his joy.

Senator Dabah Varlipeh and Representative Julie F. Wiah expressed gratitude for the donation and pledged to ensure its proper utilization for the benefit of the Liberian people. President Boakai Sr. acknowledged MAP International’s invaluable contributions to Liberia’s healthcare system and assured that the donated supplies would reach those in need.

His Excellency President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr. reflected on his years of service to the country, noting the timely arrival of this substantial medication donation given the country’s current status.

President Boakai thanked the MAP International team, especially upon hearing about their countless contributions in supplying medications to Liberia.

The President of the Republic of Liberia assured Mr. Steve Stirling, President of MAP International, and his team that these supplies would reach the end-users.

President Boakai Sr. also thanked Minister of Health Dr. Louise M. Kpoto for her tireless efforts in the health sector.
