Traditional women across Liberia who are believed to be staunch supporters of Liberia’s cultural ambassador, Queen Julie Endee have vowed to take Nayapougma Oldpa Yeazeahn AKA Prophet Key to traditional court for disrespecting womanhood. They said their action will be compelled if the legal rational justice system fails them

The women who stormed the grounds of the temple of justice on Friday, February 23, 2024, stated that they have come in search of justice not just for cultural ambassador Julie Endee, but for all women who are daily insulted by Nayapougma Oldpa Yeazeahn AKA Prophet Key.

One of the traditional women who spoke to the media in one of Liberia’s local languages “Bassa” revealed that they have come to seek legal redress to redeem the dignity of womanhood through the court, but if their efforts fail, they will run to the traditional court to insure that women dignity are retained.

“If we don’t get justice through the civilized court system, we are going to get it through the traditional court, because we are going to take prophet key to the traditional court.” A traditional woman said in Bassa language

She added that it is morally wrong for a man to insult a woman. She further said the attitude of openly insulting women places the younger generation on the wrong track and if nothing is done about it, children will grow up knowing that insulting women is a right to do to become well known.

“It is morally wrong for a man to insult a woman. She added that the attitude of openly insulting women places the younger generation on the wrong track and if nothing is done about it, children will grow up knowing that insulting women is a right to do.”

The women: “We have come not as supporters but we have come as traditional women because Prophet Key disrespected us and abused womanhood. We the traditional woman selected Julie to be our queen, so if she is insulted we all are insulted. Therefore, we must seek justice at all.”

At the same time, Liberia Culture Ambassador, Julie Endee has vowed to persistently seek justice irrespective of what she believes to be an inter-playing interest from the executive that is bent on denying her the right to seek redress at a competent court of jurisdiction.

She said if she cannot get justice in the legal proceedings between her and the notorious prophet key, she would go to ECOWAS court.

Ambassador Endee on February 5, 2024, filed a petition against Yeazeahn AKA Prophet Key at the Monrovia City Court.

She referenced that Prophet Key, in December 2023, in his video podcast on social media wilfully, intentionally, and purposefully informed the public on demeaning things concerning her character.

Therefore prayed the court to adjudge Prophet Key liable of the charge of Criminal Coercion, menacing, and Disorderly Conduct, and pay to her for damages in the amount not less than US$5,000,000.00 (Five Million United States Dollars) for general damages to be decided by the trial jury and US$300,000.00 in punitive damages and US$250,000.00 for successful attorney fees for the following factual and legal reasons.

Meanwhile, the government through the Ministry of Justice with immediate effect withdrew all criminal charges against notorious social media talk show host, Nayapougma Oldpa Yeazeahn AKA Prophet Key.

According to the court records, madam Endee through her lawyers wrote the court thereby entering the plea of “Noli Prose-Quoi” thereby dropping the charges of Criminal Coercion, menacing, and Disorderly Conduct against the Defendant.

“Noli Prose-Quoi is an entry made on the court record when the plaintiff in a civil suit or prosecutor in a criminal prosecution undertakes not to continue the action”

It added that the charges against the defendant in the proceedings are dropped due to lack of sufficient evidence to prosecute and may re-file if the need arises.

However, the plaintiff Julie Endee alarmed that the plea of “Noli Prose-Quoi” entered into by dropping off the charges of Criminal Coercion, menacing, and Disorderly Conduct against the Defendant are not to her knowledge.

It states that the charges against notorious prophet Key were dropped due to interference in the justice system by the executive, and has therefore taken Monrovia City Court Judge Ben Barco on certiorari at the supreme court; and to the judicial inquiry committee JIC for investigation.

“He said he did not prepare it, It came to him. And so I took his complaint to the chief justice of the Republic of Liberia.”

Plaintiff Endee who proved to be innocent of Noli Prose-Quoi entered into by the court, accused the executive branch of the government of being the mastermind of the court decision.

“It was in injustice rendered to me by the executive through the legal advisor of the president, Bush Keita. I have petitioned the legislature and the executive. only senators and representatives have reached out to me in response to my petition but not any member of the executive.”

Meanwhile, the cultural ambassador revealed that if she can not attain legal redress through the Liberian justice system, she will take the case to the regional court, ECOWAS court.

“If I can not get justice in a place where we fought for peace and democracy to make the justice system better, I will take my case to ECOWAS court.” Ambassador Julie Endee said.
