Monrovia, Liberia  – Lenise Home Care and Support Services (LHCSS) has successfully completed its sixth edition of the Housekeeping & Service Delivery Training, equipping 30 new recruits with essential skills in housekeeping, customer service, and health and safety. The three-day training, held from February 20 to 23 at LHCSS’s dedicated training facility in Monrovia, aimed to elevate home care standards and empower caregivers to deliver exceptional service across Liberia.

The program blended theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, efficiency, and empathy in caregiving. Senior staff member Mr. William C. Nyekan opened the training by welcoming the participants and outlining LHCSS’s mission. *“Our goal is not only to create job opportunities but also to deliver quality services that meet the needs of busy professionals and the general public,”* he said.

Expert-Led Sessions

A team of experienced facilitators led the training, covering critical aspects of housekeeping and service delivery. Mr. Charles G. Kpan, a Training Facilitator from Gonet Academy, focused on effective communication in customer service, using real-world examples and interactive discussions to engage participants. *“Communication is the cornerstone of excellent customer service. It builds trust and ensures client satisfaction,”* he emphasized.

LHCSS General Manager Mr. Lewis J. Sowa highlighted the importance of empathy and active listening in caregiving. “Your role goes beyond providing services; it’s about building relationships and understanding the unique needs of each client,” he told the trainees.

Housekeeping expert Ms. Yeato Solomon introduced best practices in cleaning and environmentally friendly methods, stressing the importance of maintaining hygiene and efficiency in caregiving environments. *“Customer service is not just a task; it’s a mindset that should guide every interaction with clients,” she said.

Hands-On Learning

A practical session led by LHCSS Housekeeping Supervisor Mr. Jason James allowed trainees to apply their knowledge in real-life scenarios. Participants practiced essential tasks such as laundry, ironing, cooking, and organizing household spaces, gaining confidence in their ability to execute responsibilities with precision and care. “This hands-on approach ensures that our caregivers are not only knowledgeable but also capable of delivering high-quality service,” Mr. James explained.

LHCSS CEO Mrs. Danise Love Dennis-Dodoo concluded the training by reminding participants of their critical role as the “Face of Lenise.” She emphasized the importance of professionalism, dedication, and maintaining high standards in service delivery. “You are the ambassadors of our organization. Your commitment to excellence will shape the experiences of our clients and uphold the reputation of LHCSS,” she said.
