Ambassador Juli Endee, Liberia’s prominent cultural icon, addressed the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT) press briefing on Thursday, outlining Liberia’s participation in the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka. The event, scheduled to take place from April 13 to May 13, 2025, will be held at Uno’s Hema, an artificial island in Japan, under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” Liberia’s participation, led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will focus on sustainable development and the nation’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ambassador Endee revealed that Liberia has chosen the sub-theme *”Saving Lives”* for its exhibition, aligning with the broader goals of the Expo. The country’s presentation will be titled *”Creativity, Innovation, Investments, Gender Equality, and Agriculture,”* reflecting Liberia’s dedication to promoting President Joseph Boakai’s ARREST Agenda. This initiative emphasizes *Rebranding Liberia* through purpose, empowerment, image, trade, unity, and peace. The exhibition aims to highlight Liberia’s efforts to achieve financial success, foster international partnerships, and promote its rich cultural heritage, tourism potential, and investment opportunities.

Liberia’s pavilion will be housed in a shared building named “Comedy,” alongside 25 other countries. This arrangement is part of a support package designed to provide structural and logistical assistance to smaller or developing nations, ensuring equal representation and participation. Ambassador Endee emphasized that Liberia will join 186 countries and 25 organizations at the Expo, with 164 countries and the remaining entities participating independently.

The pavilion, spanning 53 square meters, will serve as a dynamic hub for cultural displays, investment opportunities, business engagements, and a showcase of women’s participation in national development. Additionally, Liberia will have a 15-square-meter commercial space to further promote its economic and cultural offerings. The pavilion’s core location is designated as E16, with office space at 052 and commercial space at C76.

Ambassador Endee highlighted the significance of Liberia’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, describing it as a unique opportunity to position the country on the global stage. The pavilion will not only celebrate Liberia’s cultural heritage but also serve as a platform to attract international investors, foster business partnerships, and showcase the nation’s progress in gender equality and agricultural innovation.

The Expo’s central focus on “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” aligns with Liberia’s vision for sustainable and inclusive growth. By choosing the sub-theme *”Saving Lives,”* Liberia aims to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of life for its citizens through creativity, innovation, and strategic investments.

Ambassador Endee called on all Liberians, both at home and abroad, to support the country’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka. She emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in showcasing Liberia’s potential to the world. “This is not just an exhibition; it is a movement to rebrand Liberia, promote our rich culture, and attract investments that will drive sustainable development,” she said.
