Lofa County Senator Momo Tarnuekollie Cyrus on Friday, March 8, 2024, broke ground for an extension market project in Konia Town, Zorzor district.

The event, held on March 8, 2024, in Konia Town, Ziyeama Town, Zorzor District, witnessed a convergence of local leaders, citizens, and stakeholders eager to witness the dawn of progress.
The occasion not only symbolized the commencement of the modern market construction but also served as the official kickoff for a comprehensive development plan encompassing various initiatives totaling over US$150,000.
Phase 1 of the ambitious endeavor is set to encompass 11 pivotal projects spanning Yarpua and Kpayaquelleh in Salayea District, Konia in Zorzor District, Zawordamai in Voinjama District, Bolonguedu in Quadugboni District, Kolahun City in Kolahun District, and Kamatahun Hasala in Wanhasa District, with an initial investment of US$24,700.
Senator Cyrus, in his capacity as the driving force behind the initiative, formally inaugurated the Lofa County Project Management Council (LCPMC) during the ceremony.
Comprising esteemed individuals drawn from various sectors including civil society, media, youth and women representatives, and religious and traditional councils, the LCPMC assumes the critical responsibility of ensuring transparency and accountability in all facets of project execution.
