Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson T. Koijee has voluntarily promised his steadfast commitment to the battle against corruption in Liberia in order to achieve a society free of corruption, which is a catalyst for good governance. This commitment was made in an effort to ensure a corruption-free society.

In emphasizing his unwavering commitment to the battle against corruption, Mayor Koijee stated that the vice is an eminent menace that poses a possible risk to any nation-state and stunts prosperity.

According to Mayor Koijee, in order for the economically disadvantaged community of Liberia to experience a quicker acceleration in growth, each and every individual will have to constantly abhor, denounce, and reject corrupt practices.

The arrowhead of Monrovia has stated that as a stakeholder concerned about the future of the state and its people, he has joined the fray to do what is right to uphold the standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption. Aside from that, the young mayor also issued a call to every official of the government and citizen to support the ideal work of the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL), the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, and other state-graph institutions clothed with the authority to devise programs all gearing up towards combating corruption.

The Mayor of Monrovia, Jefferson Tamba Koijee, bemoaned the fact that in order to vigorously combat corruption, he has, as a public official and in accordance with best administrative practices from the beginning of the government coupled with appointment by the President, declared his assets and has, at the same time, routinely conducted audits at the Monrovia City Government.
