-Accuses Verdier and others of using propaganda against Major Koijee

The Director of Monrovia City Police, Thomas Garwo, has claimed that the series of recordings that have been played in Liberia are serious propaganda by some notorious criminals that are currently living in the United States of America.

Mr. Garwo said that these recordings are intended to destroy government officials and lie to the Liberian people.

Mr. Garwo also denied being part of any communication linking the City Mayor of Monrovia, Jefferson Tamba Koijee, to importing weapons into Liberia.

Mr. Garwo made the revelation during a conference on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in Monrovia following his return to the country from the United States of America.

Recently, it was reported on the Spoon Network that Mr. Garwo released leaked audio linking Mayor Koijee to the importation of a huge consignment of arms and ammunition into the country.

However, the City Police Director has refuted that he was never part of any communication that was reported by Spoon Network.

“I want to inform the Liberian people and demystify the falsehood in a series of recordings that have been used as propaganda by some notorious criminals who are currently residing in America,” Col. Garwo told reporters after spending almost a month in the US.

According to him, if he wanted to be in the circle of those men and say something bad about the government, he wouldn’t risk his life to come to Liberia, emphasizing that the Liberian people should not be fooled by those who are calling themselves advocates in America but lying and giving people money and telling them that they are advocating for them.

According to Garwo, he got successful travel to America through a pastoral group called ‘The Paramilitary Network,” and the head of the group is a fellow who works at the Liberia Immigration Service by the name of Falo.

He mentioned that Falo has been sending people to Israel and South Korea, so when the opportunity came for America, he applied and got accepted along with 14 others, including people from different security agencies, to go there.

Garwo also revealed that Shrike Sackor called him on a Wednesday and they started to have a friendly conversation on the phone, at which time he (Shirke) started to bring in Varney Taller and Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott, and how he went to the press conference that was conducted.

“He started acting like he was educating me and asking for my location, and I told him that I was on the Somalia Drive and I cannot continue the conversation on the phone and that I will give you the Congress One number for you to speak to him, so I asked him who is Congress One, and he said no, you are driving when you reach home, then you call me for us to talk, but I didn’t call him back,” he stated.

Speaking further, Garwo said he left the country on April 12, 2023, his wife’s birthday, and he received his visa on April 9, 2023, their wedding anniversary. It was on the same day he got suspended from his job for an indefinite period because of some claims that he had a roadblock.

He continued, “I told my wife I don’t know what is really happening; this 9 of April I got married, suspended and obtained a visa. I think we need to celebrate this 9 of April, so we both laugh about it. I left this country on the 12th of April, and when I got to the United States, I posted that I was in Harbel, Margibi County, because I never wanted people to know where I was until after my conference. So, when I got through with the training, I posted the photos, thanking God for the successful conference and training. It was based that Sackor called me, saying that I reached and didn’t call him, so I told him that I was busy with my conference and training, so he asked for my location, and I told him that I was staying in the hotel, and he said that I was sending someone to pick me up from the hotel for us to move around and have lunch. The guy drove to the hotel, and I recognized his face from Monrovia College and NSA; he is called Soko Sackor Jr. He picked me up from the hotel and carried me to his house, where I spent two days. I wasn’t satisfied with his movement. You know, I spent 18 years in LNP and went through the rank and file, so I am a full security man, so no one can play on my intelligence, so I decided to ask him, and he told me that he and his wife were going to another state for a baby shower, and he couldn’t leave his wife in the house, so Congress will buy me a plane ticket to go to Philadelphia”.

The Monrovia City Police Director stated that he arrived at Philadelphia Airport on Ramadan Day and was picked up by Shrike Sackor, who took him to a place to sleep the next day. Jerome Verdier called me. He said, “I heard that you are in America. How is everything?” I told him that Sheikh told me that Congress One was going to call me, and he (Cllr. Verdier) told me, “I am the Congress One.” I asked him why he is called Congress One, and he told me because he works with the United States Department and is the legal counsel for the Congress Department.’

“The next day we went on the field every Liberian that has been to America knows that field I’m talking about, I saw CDcians, people from the LNP that I trained, PSU officers, and others and we started taking photos after that Sherikewent into his car and he started playing with his phone and I told him not to post my photo and said he wasn’t posting photos but within a second I received series of messages from messenger and the first message was from my wife asking about my location and who I took a photo with for which Prophet Key was making a statement so I blasted at Sherike and we had a serious argument that leads to us insulting each other and later he apologized and promised that prophet Key was going to take the photo from Facebook because he is in connection with prophet Key on some kind of thing so I decided to remain quiet because it was a strange area I was in and I didn’t know anybody there,” he noted.

Garwo disclosed that he and Sherike drove to Jersey, and there he met Clatus Waterspoon, Eugene Fargon, Alex Wayon, and two other guys whose names he doesn’t know, and they welcomed him to the States. Later, they all drove to another location.

“I left my phone in the car, and Sherike went to the phone, but when he came back, he had my phone in his hand, and he said, “My man, you are already here, so you need to tell us what you know,” and I told him that I wasn’t getting what he was saying at that moment, and he said, “Brother, this is America; this is the place that can change people’s lives, so you need to tell us exactly what you know; if you don’t know anything, you need to go exactly with our tone. I said, “But nothing I know to say to you people here and he said, “All the things your boss is doing to people in that country, you don’t know what to tell us here The argument started to heat up, and I said I am not going to lie on anybody’s name here; if you want me to lie on whomever name in Liberia to accomplish my mission, no, I came here for a church conference, so anything I say here will embarrass me.”.

He said that because of the tension that was on him from Waterspoon, Fargon, Sackor, and the others, he told them there was a container in the port that brought a series of equipment that could equip the Armed Forces of Liberia, LNP, and he didn’t know the plane of the government for which they brought the equipment.

“They asked me to lie to the Inspector General of Police and Justice Minister, and I told them that they are all afraid of Mayor Koijee and that the boy is so powerful that when he speaks, nobody speaks. They all talk, and Waterspoon took out 1000 USD, and the greedy part of it was that Fargon and Sherike started fighting over the money and took 300 each and gave me 400,” Garwo said.

Garwo said Cllr. Verdier and his folks prepared his letter of resignation, which he says he rejected.

“Jerome Verdier called me and said I have to do my letter of resignation. “Soko Sackor Jr. will prepare the letter and send it to him (Cllr. Verdier), and he will edit it and send it to me for my signature,” he said.

Garwo continued, “If you look at the letter they posted on Facebook, I have all the evidence on my phone. You will see my email from Soko Sackor to Jerome Verdier. How can a man write a letter and misspell his name? My last name is Garwo, not Garlo. How can a person write a letter and not sign it? So, I don’t know where they got that letter from.”

“Verdier told me that Witherspoon would help me. And I understand that Witherspoon is the financier behind this propaganda. He used people and told them that he would protect them and give them a place in America,” he said.
