The National Civil Society Union of Liberia (NACSUL) thanked the president for his Preferment of Madam Nyemadi Pearson.

NACSUL stands in support of the confirmation by the senate of Madam Pearson as it has followed her activities over the years.

Madam Pearson whose services at various institutions of government demonstrated her respect for public trust, diligence and moral uprightness is a suitable candidate for the post, the group added.

Her academic qualifications and prolonged service in various public offices ranging from The LPRC as Managing Director, to her current acting function as the Deputy Governor for operation of the central bank give NACSUL the solid ground to remain steadfast in its bid to ensure that madam Pearson is confirmed by the senate.

“We are pleased with her appointment that it is one that demonstrates government’s commitment to women empowerment in the governance process of liberia. We intently followed Madam Pearson’s hearings at the senate and were overwhelmed by her display of brilliant competence and suitability for the post she now stands confirmation for. As a National Civil Society Body that seeks to fight waste and abuse for the purpose of making sure that public resources are used properly, we meticulously followed Madam Pearson from as far back. We believe very strongly that she is unwavering in her respect for the rule of law and the code of ethics which governs public service.

NACSUL wishes to assert that it stands with Madam Pearson during these periods of confirmation hearing and urges the “House of Elders”, the Senate, to do the honorable thing by passing this daughter of the land whose services in public office over the years set her aside as a symbol of reliance, diligence and integrity.
