-Amid Land Dispute Case

Sanniquellie, Nimba County – Judge Pape Suah, the Resident Circuit Judge of the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, has raised concerns over alleged death threats made against him by George Boayue, a Liberian residing in Minnesota, USA. The threats reportedly stem from a contentious land dispute case currently before Judge Suah’s court.
The Alleged Threats
Judge Suah disclosed that he has been receiving intimidating and life-threatening messages via his Facebook Messenger account since October of last year. According to the judge, Boayue has repeatedly warned him to rule in his favor in the ongoing land dispute case or face severe consequences.
“Since last year October, the gentleman has continued to hunt me, threatening that if I refuse to speedily try the pending matter before me and rule in his favor, I will face the consequences of the judgment,” Judge Suah told reporters.
Background of the Land Dispute
The case, which involves a disputed piece of land with a house structure in Ganta City, Nimba County, was initially heard at the Gompa Magisterial Court before being transferred to the 8th Judicial Circuit Court. To prevent further tension and potential violence, Judge Suah issued an order prohibiting both parties from accessing the disputed property until a final judgment is rendered.
“Due to the tension arising over the land, I ordered all parties to stay clear of the land and house structure until the final judgment,” Judge Suah explained. However, he alleged that Boayue violated this court order by reportedly bringing police officers from Monrovia to forcefully evict individuals from the property and brutalize peaceful citizens.
George Boayue’s Alleged Role
George Boayue, believed to be an International Medical Advisor to President Joseph Boakai and a Medical Doctor at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, USA, is at the center of the controversy. Judge Suah claims that Boayue’s actions and threats are an attempt to influence the court’s decision and intimidate him into ruling in his favor.
