Monrovia, Liberia โ October 2, 2024: The Management of the National Port Authority (NPA) has hosted Mr. Jean Marie Koffi, Secretary General of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) and delegation, at its headquarters at the Freeport of Monrovia.
Welcoming Mr. Koffi to the NPA, NPA Managing Director Sekou A. M. Dukuly said he was profoundly gratified by the visit of Hon. Koffi and the delegation to Liberia. Hon. Dukuly said he was excited by the cooperation that exists between the Secretary General of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA), adding that this level of engagement paves the way for sustainable development, capacity building, and infrastructure development of the National Port Authority. Hon. Dukuly emphasized the need for regional collaboration to combat illegal shipping and improve port competitiveness.
For his part, The Secretary General of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA), Jean Marie Koffi, praised NPA Managing Director Hon. Sekou A.M. Dukuly for his leadership and support for PMAWCA initiatives. Hon. Koffi said he was impressed by the level of work being done at the National Port Authority. He said his visit to the NPA was intended to promote cooperation and share best practices in port management and operations.
This initiative, according to Hon. Koffi, is to ensure efficient and effective port services and maintain safety, Port security, and environmental cleanliness among its member ports.
