As part of improving and delivering on his commitment to healthcare delivery, President Joseph Nyumah Boakai on Thursday, June 18, 2024, made a donation of essential materials to children and newbrnmothers at the John F Kennedy Medical Center.

The President visited every segment of the hospital during his donations, and stated that the donation was a gesture propelled by his commitment to improving the health condition and assisting those who are in need.

“This is a gesture propelled my concern to improving the condition and assisting the needy.”

President Boakai added that the condition of the hospital facility is a challenge to the national government to improve the healthcare delivery of hospitals so that Liberians will not need to travel out to attain medical attention. “This is a challenge to us to make sure that we make the best of this place for everyone.”

Meanwhile, he lauded the administrators of the hospital for the level of work done with the minimum resources needed to run the hospital. “We thank the administrators for the hard work they are doing with very little and with a huge number of people. We went around, we looked, and there are things we saw that have committed us more to making sure that JFK becomes that hospital for our people.”

At the same time, the President added that there are plans to improve other referral hospitals across the country so that JFK will not be overwhelmed.

He revealed that there are plans to bring in more medical supplies to help improve the healthcare delivery of hospitals across the country. All of these are backed by his understanding that the need to improve healthcare delivery across the country can not be underestimated.

Meanwhile, President Joseph N. Boakai has for the first time chaired the National Steering meeting for his ARREST Agenda. Speaking Thursday, July 18, 2024, during the meeting at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, President Boakai said the meeting is intended to streamline the developmental agenda in the country.

According to the Liberian Chief Executive, his administration is engaging various sectors to push the development of Liberia. He said the collaborations of all sectors, the religious community, youth, and other groups are pivotal to achieving the development of the country.

The Liberian leader stated that Liberia can foster the development of the country by identifying tourism. President Boakai added that the government will perform to the hopes and aspirations of the citizens.

The highlighted the importance of foreign scholarship for Liberians. He called for the investment into local initiatives by investing in the local economy; especially in the areas of agriculture. President Boakai recognized the role of the media as pivotal as it relates to the achievement of the country’s agenda
