President Biden spoke on the advantages of a USAID-CSquared partnership for Liberia during the G-20 summit on Tuesday in Bali, Indonesia.
In order to “build a countrywide fiber network that would connect 1 million Liberians to the web,” President Joe Biden announced that the United States is collaborating with C-Squared.
This comes after a fruitful relationship in 2017 that brought dependable internet infrastructure to Monrovia and its surroundings thanks to CSquared, USAID, and the Liberia Telecommunications Authority.
A significant component of the U.S.’s efforts to assist Liberia in enhancing its health and educational systems and facilitate the development of a robust, market-driven economy is reliable internet connection.

President Biden, President Widodo of Indonesia, and President Von der Leyen of the European Commission co-hosted a group of G20 leaders at the Bali, Indonesia, summit in 2022 to demonstrate their shared commitment to deepen engagement in the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII), which will speed up investments in high-quality infrastructure in low- and middle-income countries worldwide and strengthen the global economy.
PGII investments aim to have long-lasting positive effects on partner countries, build community resilience, support inclusive, sustainable development, and aid partners’ economic security and global supply chains in keeping with the G20 theme for 2022, “Recover Together, Recover Stronger.”
