Sekou Ayatola Konneh—are you a Nigerian citizen too? Why are you not clarifying your nationality, Sekou? Just because you have “Ayatola” in your name, does that make you Nigerian? This is exactly why the commercial bandits in SUP had to jump ship and distort the conversation.
There is no legitimate argument against Mustapha Raji’s transformative work at the Liberia Football Association (LFA). Raji is a Liberian by birth, so why should anyone question his nationality only now, in 2025—a year before the LFA elections? He has already won twice and has served for almost eight years. Since when did Raji’s nationality prevent him from leading football reforms, transforming grassroots football across Liberia through infrastructure development, and prioritizing women’s soccer?
What’s unfolding before us is nothing more than a blatant political maneuver fueled by greed, power, and malicious intent. It’s disgraceful that SUP, a student group, has allowed itself to tarnish its legacy by indulging in this despicable brand of football politicking.
The proverb says, “When you haul a rope, you haul the bush.” Now that we’ve exposed and dismantled this egregious lie, the debate is no longer about Raji’s nationality. The Unity Party’s SUP has resorted to hiding behind the claim, “Article 17 gives us the right to protest.” But what are they really protesting? Their university is filthy, with no buses, forcing students to cram into pickup trucks at Fendell Campus. The bathrooms are in ruins, leaving female students to practice open-air pollution. Students sit on the ground due to a lack of chairs.
A truly conscious SUP would be fighting for these basic rights. Instead, they have sold themselves out and become nothing more than political pawns—financially reduced to commercial bandits. We must expose their compromised position for all to see!
Sekou Konneh, the First Vice President for Administration of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), was re-elected unopposed alongside Mustapha Raji during the 2022 LFA elections. Is this how he repays the trust Raji has placed in him over the years? How long will we tolerate this betrayal?
Konneh: The Mastermind of Destruction and Smear Campaign while Resisting the Expulsion of Hooligans at UL
The masses must know the truth. Sekou Konneh is one of the masterminds, working with Cassell Kouh to undermine the LFA and create chaos ahead of the 2026 LFA elections. Why? Because Sekou knows he can never win the presidency. With Raji’s remarkable track record at LFA, he can easily win by a landslide.
But Cassell, intoxicated with greed, wants to be LFA President. And as an intercontinental fraudster, he has the stolen cash to buy almost anything. He has made Sekou an offer he can’t refuse—$150,000 for his loyalty. Sekou has already received an initial $25,000. His mission? To use his position as First Vice President to discredit Mustapha Raji and force public demand for new leadership after Raji’s second term. In exchange, after two terms of service, Sekou gets his $150,000 and access to what could be the new leadership.
A Betrayer of Trust & Friendship for Money
Sekou Konneh is a lawless double-dipper—a man holding two powerful positions while selling out his conscience and his country. Not only is he the First Vice President of LFA, but he is also the Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Liberia (UL).
This clear violation of the Code of Conduct is outrageous, especially in a country where millions are jobless. Yet, Konneh holds two lucrative positions and chooses to use his power to betray Mustapha Raji—the very man who helped and supported him during his time at Barrack Young Controllers (BYC).
Imagine this: Konneh replaced Cassell Kouh as First Vice President at LFA after Kouh was arrested for fraud and money laundering in the United States. And now, the same Cassell Kouh—whom Raji protected Sekou from—is bribing Konneh to betray the very hands that fed him. This is nothing short of ungratefulness. SUP’s Cowardice: A Neglect of Conscience
On July 11, 2024, Sekou Konneh called SUP “gangsters” on campus, accusing them of disrupting classes and victimizing female students. He vowed to put an end to their lawlessness. SUP called for his resignation.
Yet, he is still double-dipping, and SUP remains silent. But today, the same SUP has willingly aligned itself with Konneh and Cassell, selling out their principles for money and power. SUP is complicit in this scheme, using its political influence to do the bidding of those who betrayed them.
Why would SUP vandalize property and violate university rules, only to have the Dean of Student Affairs protect them from accountability? Because Sekou and Cassell stand to benefit the most. Sekou will pocket his $150,000, while SUP will continue to be pawns in their hands.
That’s why the Liberia National Police (LNP) charged these commercial bandits with criminal attempt to commit murder, burglary, destruction of property, and aggravated assault. Yet, the University Administration—through the Dean of Student Affairs office—has failed to act in accordance with Number 7 of the University Handbook to punish these gangsters in khaki.
Fellow Liberians, It Is Our Duty to Expose Corruption. Sekou Konneh’s betrayal and act of shielding gangster students threatens the integrity of our nation and the University of Liberia – UL. We cannot allow these power-hungry individuals to continue undermining our institutions.
Let’s demand accountability. Let’s demand action. Let’s show Sekou that his days of double-dipping are over! The administration needs to take action now in accordance with the handbook. The gangsters in khaki are commercial bandits. They charged by LNP. The school must act.
