Monrovia, Liberia – The National Policy Council (NPC) of the African Liberation League (ALL) has elected Bong County Senator Johnny Kpehe as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) following the temporary leave of absence of Senior Party Leader Rev. Sara Beysolow Nyanti. Rev. Nyanti is Liberia’s current Foreign Affairs Minister. She contested for the presidency in 2023 on the ALL ticket and was appointed by President Boakai following his ascendancy.
Senator Johnny Kpehe’s appointment was ratified during the NPC’s high-level meeting on April 12, 2025, where the council also approved key policy decisions, including the Party’s Leave Policy, to enhance accountability and operational efficiency.
With Rev. Nyanti’s temporary leave, Senator Kpehe—a long-standing party stalwart—steps into the OIC role to ensure seamless leadership continuity. The NPC emphasized that his appointment aligns with the Party’s Terms of Reference (TOR), ensuring stability during this transition.
Additionally, the council approved pending leave requests from members, upholding transparency and compliance with the Code of Conduct, and endorsed the 2025 Operations Plan, outlining strategic priorities for the year ahead.
Unwavering Support for the Boakai-Koung Govt
The NPC reiterated its full backing of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. and Vice President Jeremiah Koung, reaffirming commitment to the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID). The League pledged to work closely with coalition partners to advance @good governance, democratic inclusion, and socioeconomic progress” in Liberia.
Prince Charisma Tamba, ALL’s Assistant Secretary for Public Relations, stated: “This leadership decision reflects our commitment to strong, accountable governance—both within our party and in support of national development. With Senator Kpehe’s interim leadership, we remain focused on unity, progress, and service to Liberia.”
