NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA — Senator Nya D. Twayen, Jr. of Nimba County has called on content creators, social media influencers, and citizens to refrain from spreading negative narratives and instead focus on promoting the county’s progress and unity. In a recent statement on his official Facebook page, the senator emphasized the importance of ethical communication and constructive criticism in fostering growth and development.

Senator Twayen, Jr. urged his supporters and admirers to prioritize the county’s interests by maintaining high ethical standards in their online interactions. He cautioned against engaging in personal attacks, proxy wars, or reacting to perceived propaganda, stating that such behavior undermines the county’s unity and progress.

“Warning to all my supporters and admirers: stop posting about candidates and county officials in a negative manner. I don’t engage in governance or politics by attacking others or encouraging divisive posts. I also do not support proxy wars. Stop picking fights where there are none, or you will be publicly chastised by me. Stop reacting to perceived propaganda against me; all is well, and Nimba is winning,” the senator wrote.

The senator expressed concern over the spread of propaganda and fake news, urging citizens to avoid amplifying negativity. He emphasized that while holding leaders accountable is essential, it is equally important to approach criticism constructively and with the county’s best interests in mind.

“If we want Nimba to grow, we cannot constantly emphasize the negatives. Constructive criticism is vital, but we must also highlight the positive developments in our county. We cannot expect investors and progress when our narrative is dominated by negativity,” Senator Twayen, Jr. stated.

He highlighted the many positive developments in Nimba County and called on citizens to adopt a patriotic approach when critiquing leaders. According to the senator, fostering a balanced and positive narrative is crucial for attracting investment and achieving the prosperity the county deserves.

Senator Twayen, Jr. also condemned the rise of divisive behavior, such as picking fights and spreading propaganda, warning that such actions threaten the county’s unity, peace, and development. He commended politicians and their followers who have taken steps to reduce political attacks and proxy wars, noting that these efforts are essential for the county’s growth.

“These acts are not unique to Nimba, but they are counterproductive to our development. We must work together to build a county that thrives on unity, peace, and progress,” he concluded.

The senator’s message has sparked conversations among citizens and content creators, many of whom have expressed support for his call to prioritize positivity and constructive dialogue in shaping Nimba County’s future.
