Donates bags of rice
Sethi Brothers Inc. has donated several bags of rice to the bereaved families over the New Kru Town tragedy through Redemption Hospital as well as to the Monrovia Central Prison.
Speaking on Friday, January 21, 2022 during the donation process, held at Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town, a representative from Sethi Brothers Inc. Lawrence T. Capps said that the donation was made possible though his boss Mr. Paul Sethi, adding that it is his own kind way of identifying with the bereaved family and prisoners at the Monrovia Central Prison.
Capps further said that Mr. Sethi extends his sympathy to the bereaved families and the people of Liberia. He disclosed that, of the 202 bags, 29 should go to the bereaved families, 21 goes to Redemption Hospital while 152 bags go to the Monrovia Central Prison as a means of helping to feed patience at the hospital and the prisoners.
In response, the Medical Doctor of Redemption Hospital Dr. Williamatta S. William Gibson expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Sethi for the kind gesture, assuring that the donation would be used for its intended purpose and it could also help them increase the numbers of time the patients have their meal.
Recently the Inspector General of Police disclosed that the stampede that occurred during a crusade in New Kru Town left 29 persons dead including 2 males, 17 females, 11 children and 18 admitted at the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town on Bushrod Island.
Speaking Friday to a team of journalists at the Liberia National Police Headquarters (LNP) the Police spokesman Moses Carter said that the LNP has arrested six persons linked to the tragedy and invited several other people of interest to help with the investigation to establish cause of the stampede in New Kru Town during a crusade.
The Liberia National Police has promised that in a very short time they will get back to the public with findings from the investigation.
