SANNIQUELLIE, NIMBA CO. — The Super Petroleum commonly known as SP, a gas station located in Ganta City, Nimba County is accused of charging unnecessary high gasoline prices in the county.
Motorists, retailers including other customers told journalists on Monday that SP Gas Station in Ganta City has become the most expensive among petroleum station increasing gasoline prices to 5.70USD.
But, following the report an independent investigation conducted by journalists found that among the big four petroleum stations in the city, Aminata and Son had the cheapest gasoline charges of 4.62USD, while SP Gas Station had the most expensive at 5.70 USD.
The SP Gas Station management team has however come under serious criticism from motorists, retailers and other buyers about its high prices and profit margins, adding that this hike in petrol prices is completely unjustifiable, making a shocking profit in the market.
