During the 20th Jalsa Salana (Annual Conference) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Liberia, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among individuals, regardless of their religious beliefs.
He urged Muslims to adhere to the true teachings of Islam by engaging in acts of kindness towards their fellow human beings.
Speaker Koffa highlighted the fundamental principles shared by all major religions, such as faith, hope, and charity, with a particular emphasis on the significance of charitable actions.
He emphasized that serving humanity and aiding the less fortunate are integral aspects of practicing one’s religion.
Acknowledging the contributions of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community to the development of Liberia, Speaker Koffa commended their efforts in establishing educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and places of worship across the country.
He emphasized the importance of generosity and giving back to society, citing his own experiences in both the private and public sectors.
Drawing parallels between Islam and Christianity in terms of assisting others, Speaker Koffa called upon Muslims and all Liberians to uphold the existing peace and unity in the nation.
He highlighted the value of maintaining harmony and reiterated the importance of cherishing the peace that Liberia currently enjoys.
In his closing remarks, Speaker Koffa invoked the blessings of the Almighty Creator and urged everyone to continue promoting goodwill and compassion towards one another.
