Montserrado County district #9 Representative, Frank SaahFoko has described opposition representative candidates within the district as merry-makers, who he believes are seeking opportunity to merry-make rather than serving the district.

AS such, he has urged residents of the district not to vote any opposition candidate because they have nothing positive to offer the district. “Those who are running around here saying they want to be representative are merry makers who are only seeking opportunity to merry-make and not to serve.

They have nothing to offer the district, so don’t vote for them.”

Speaking Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at his campaign rally- Representative Foko urged his supporters and residents of district nine to vote for development rather than people who he said have no intent to develop the district.

Representative Foko who pulled hundreds of his supporters from across the district, added that the district under his watch as representative over the last two and a half years, has experienced development as compare to his predecessor Munah PennohYoung-Blood. He assured that there are more developments to come under his leadership.

The District #9 lawmakers encouraged his supporters and residents of the district to vote for him, President Weah and all those contesting on the CDC ticket. This is because he believesthat by doing so, district #9 will experience unhindered development across every sector.

“During the last two and a half years since I became elected as your representative, district nine has experienced development as compare to where I took over from Munah Pennoh Young-Blood. And if this development drive must continue, you must vote for me, President and Saah H. Joseph- as representative, president and senator respectively.”

Foko added that during his two years six months as representative of district nine, e has used his oversight responsibility to improve every sector of district by initiating act that promotes growth and development.

He named the pavement of roads, infrastructure development, provision of electricity and human capital development, as well as the creation and sponsoring of bills at the national legislature as his achievements over the years as representative of district nine.

He added that the bill which was crafted by him at the legislature is intended to have motorcycle union capture under the national budget. Accordingly, he said it has been passed bythe House of Representatives and sent to the Senate for concurrence.

“I have created a bill that has been passed by the house of representative and it now before the Senate.

That bill is intended to have the motorcycle union included in the national budget.”

“Our district over the last two years, I used my oversight responsibility as a representative to have every community within this district electrified by bringing a transformer to every community. I also used that same oversight to have public works paving six of our roads and there are plans to have another paved by Public Works during the next budget year,” Fokoadded

He continued by saying that as a means of delivering on his promises, dis-advantage youths within the district have begun the process of rehabilitation as others who have gone through theirs are now being given vocational training in different disciplines.

Following the recounting of his accomplishment in the district, the representative who is contesting for what seems to be his full-term as a representative of the district, called on opposition representative candidates to see the need to give their support to him for there is no need for change in the middle of development.

At the same time, he pleaded with supporter to remain peace during these times of elections, stating that “violence has to space in our democracy, and anyone who is sounding the drum of war must be given credence.” Therefore- he urged everyone for every candidate on the ballot who is from CDC, stating that the CDC is a party of peace and not violence.
