A joint commission partnership between the University of Liberia and Sharda University recently took place on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the University Auditorium, Capitol Hill Campus.

Prof. Dr. Julius Sarwolo Nelson, President of the University of Liberia, highlighted that since June 2022, both institutions have been working towards establishing a partnership to foster a collaborative academic relationship with a common goal in mind.

Dr. Nelson emphasized that this partnership between the two universities aims to enhance the educational system and support students nationwide. 

Some of the benefits include scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, student internships, collaborative research opportunities, and more.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both institutions signifies their commitment and collaboration in establishing a Joint Commission for the mutual benefit of the University of Liberia and Sharda University in India. This Commission will oversee the implementation of the MOU to ensure its successful growth.

The President of International Relations at Sharda University expressed his delight at hosting delegates from the University of Liberia in October 2022, laying the foundation for a strong relationship between the two sister universities. 

The delegation from the University of Liberia demonstrated a genuine interest in fostering this partnership, leaving a positive impression on Sharda University.

Dr. Daryani emphasized that the Joint Commission Partnership between both universities is a historic moment. 

He announced the signing of the Joint Commission between Sharda University and the University of Liberia, which will serve as a guiding force for their future academic and collaborative endeavors.

During the signing ceremony, it was reiterated that both Sharda University and the University of Liberia are committed to capacity-building initiatives and fostering stronger ties between their institutions.
