Overwhelmed by the indescribable turnout of his supporters at their campaign launch, the political leader of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) and President of the Republic of Liberia, George M. Weah, is optimistic about his reelection, judging from what he sees as his tangibles, and his supporters’ relentless commitment to his political endeavor.

“We are here today to show the world that we are the People’s party, we did this before and we can do it again,” President George Weah tells supporters, and he admonishes them to support his reelection on October 10, 2023.

The President’s proposal for a second term is backed by the fact that he believes he has impacted the lives of Liberians in different ways, and if said quest is to continue, his reelection is a priority.

“Today, it is no surprise that education is free today, your children can attend public universities free of charge, today, your parents don’t have to struggle to pay WAEC fee.”

He applauded his supporters for their immense commitment to the party and country, and guaranteed that with their votes, he’s confident about his reelection.

“Fellow citizens, cidicians and Weahians, and members of the mighty coalition, thank for your love and your commitment to your country and our party, I’m your president, I will be your president comes October 10, 2023,” he said.

He continued, “On October 10, 2023, vote for George Weah for president, your leader, your father, your brother, and your friend.”

President Weah sees himself as the best candidate in the pending presidential election, as he said some of his contenders were tested and they failed, while the others are not prepared.

“Those that are claiming to be rescuers and fixers, let them show you what they have ever rescued or fixed for the Liberian people.”

“Did they rescue the bad roads, no! Did they rescue the educational sector, no! Did they rescue the health sector, no! Did they rescue the agricultural sector, no! Did they rescue the economy, no! Did they rescue us from unemployment, no! The answer is a big no!” He said.

According to him, opportunities that should have rescued Liberians years ago, were squandered by the former ruling establishment. As such, he believes they can’t do better than what they did when they served the country for 12 years.

Like February 4th, 2023, July 17, 2023, and August 8, 2023, supporters of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) have vividly demonstrated their indescribable love for their political leader and the party, as they seek a reelection.

This unique love for the party has repeatedly been portrayed by supporters of the CDC, and it became more visible on Thursday, September 7, 2023, when they gave the city of Monrovia a blue euphoria, during their campaign launch.

It appears that the incumbent is somehow in a better position, considering some Liberians perspectives on his first six years of governance.

With this, Liberians who attended the event guaranteed their support to the Party, judging from what they termed as their (CDC government’s) developmental efficiency and unique intervention in the educational system.

Women and first time voters whose views were gagged by this paper at the event, attributed their willingness to support the President’s reelection, to the government’s free tuition policy at public universities and colleges across the country, and interventions in the educational, health, infrastructure, and other sectors.
