Koijee tells UP

The Secretary General of the opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), wants the ruling establishment to be mindful of its governance, says they (CDC) has what it takes to make the Unity Party and it’s government uncomfortable.

Over the weekend, former President George Weah requested twenty-five EPS personnel. As an emphasis to this request, Koijee told journalists that if President Joseph Boakai cannot provide that number, supporters of CDC will protect Weah themselves.

“President WEAH asked for 25 EPS personnel but if you cannot provide him that or anything that falls short of that number, we can assure you we will protect him ourselves. Remember also now, the day we come to the conclusion of protecting President Weah, you can rest assured you won’t go to work. We will call for a national protection day for President Weah and on that day Mr. Boakai you will work from home and not the Executive Mansion.”

He cautioned, “Don’t push us, don’t push us for we have what it takes to make you uncomfortable; go and do the people’s job, we won’t pretend to you, we don’t seek popularity we are action oriented characters, we will ask the citizens to join us in protecting President WEAH. And the day we come to protect President WEAH, we won’t leave again, we will protect him till the day we feel comfortable that he’s well protected.”

SG Koijee mentioned that when the decision to protect Weah is made, President Boakai will not rest and will not work at the Executive Mansion. A national protection day will be called for Weah, during which Boakai will work from his residence.

Furthermore, Koijee urged Boakai to focus on serving the Liberian people instead of causing discomfort in his leadership. He emphasized that CDC has the capacity to ensure Boakai’s discomfort if provoked.

Koijee called on Liberian citizens to support CDC in protecting Weah from any perceived threats. He declared that once the decision to safeguard Weah is made, they will persist until they are satisfied with the security measures in place.

In addition, Koijee stated that no officials from CDC will cooperate with the government’s asset recovery team established by President Boakai.”

He tells the EPS Boss, “Sam Gaye, you’re there threatening people about dismissal in the EPS, let me inform you, you lack authority to dismiss anyone; we will get you busy very soon. These people were trained by the state; government invested in them and you come here to threaten them!

Because you narrowly won election you think we should dance by the whims and caprices of Mr. Boakai”

He added, “We had initially planned to send our partisans to take over all Tenure Agencies, hoping you would have sent your police there and then we will all have a spoken language

We have held back because the court has intervened, we will wait until a decision is reached. It’s your personal decision to sleep but to think by winning Presidency gives you absolute powers you’re mistaken coz we are here.”
